Essence magazine recently caught up with entertainment mogul, Tyler Perry, and had him sit down for the cover of their November 2012 issue. In it, he chats it up with them about his last real conversation with the late-great Whitney Houston, his love for Black women, and about his upcoming action film, Alex Cross, which comes out on Friday, October 19th.

This is definitely out of Tyler Perry’s element, but I’m interested in seeing it for two reasons. 1. I love and will always support TP and 2. I love action movies… Will you be going to theaters to see Alex Cross?
