Tia Mowry is definitely on top of her game. She just landed a leading role in the ABC Family Movie Mistle-Tones. Tia will play Holly, whose character is described as being charming with a strong singing voice, though she’s not very aggressive.
The movie synopsis is centered around her auditioning for the Mistle-Tones, which is the singing group her mother founded forty years ago. But, she ends up losing the spot to the best friend of the group’s unofficial leader Marci (played by Tori Spelling). So, Holly sets out to create a new group and takes the Mistle-Tones on in a singing competition.
Tia is keeping herself pretty busy with the shooting of the second season of Tia & Tamera as well as working on her upcoming book, OH, BABY!: Pregnancy Tales and Advice from One Hot Mama to the Next (Gotham Books) will be released on May 14.
The shooting of the film will start in about a week or so but no particular air date at this time.
