America has a problem and it’s not just cocaine anymore… It’s OBESITY!!!
As a woman that’s overweight, I have come to realization that it’s time for me to make a change. Not only because I’m getting older and want to have children, but it’s more so about being more healthy and taking care of the temple that God blessed me with.
According to Huffington Post, more than 35 percent of adults are obese across the country with a BMI greater than or equal to 30. That’s 78 million people. WOW!!!
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) found it necessary to not only find out the percentage of obese adults in the US but also shake out the numbers by state. After mapping out the percentage of obese Americans by state using 2011, it was found that the most obese adults reside in the south. This is actually not surprising to me considering we love some soul food.
After evaluating each state, Mississippi residents came in at 34.9 percent of obese adults making it the most obese state in America. The state with the lowest was Colorado which came in at 20.7 percent. With Colorado being the lowest, there was not one single state that came in lower than 20 percent of obese adults. Not one state met the nation’s Healthy People 2010 goal of having fewer than 15 percent obese adults. That’s pretty sad.
I live in Georgia and my state adult obesity rate came in at 28 percent. I’m not sure exactly where we fall number wise but that is a lot of people.
Where does your state fall on the obesity map?

this post is without question one of the more clever observations on this issue that i have encountered in quite a bit. It’s evident that you have a much better know-how about this particular matter in contrast to most people and that makes it very easy for people such as myself to understand more of a few of the recent discussion which had been banded about .
