No matter how big or small, over 90% of women suffer from this fatty cell called cellulite. As you can see in the picture above, even the seemingly perfect Beyoncé suffers from a slight case of cellulitus (yeah I made that word up) as well.

The fact that all women are made up of more fatty tissue than men for the sake of childbearing, we are all subject to having unwanted “dimples” in our buttocks, thighs and even legs no matter your size.
New moms Tia & Tamera decided to share some tips on how to fight the war against cellulite with a simple DIY Cellulite Busting Scrub and shared a few other tips on how to fight it internally as well.
Here’s what they suggested in regards to getting rid of those smiling buttocks and thighs:
On what is cellulite:
Basically, cellulite happens when fat cells push into the skin’s middle layer and pull on connective tissue. This creates the appearance of cellulite “dimples”. Anything from hormones to genetics to diet can cause cellulite. The bottom line is – cellulite is not just associated with any certain body type. Anything from your skin’s natural thickness to how fast your natural metabolism is can affect how prominent it appears.
On can cellulite be prevented:
Eating healthy, low fat foods can help you avoid cellulite, as well as exercising regularly. Drinking lots of water (especially with lemon) and eating a high-fiber diet can prevent it as well.
On there not being a permanent cure:
Eating a healthy diet, exercising and exfoliating areas of your body with cellulite can all help reduce its appearance, but it won’t cure it permanently. However, massaging can stimulate circulation and break up the fluids beneath your skin, which can make your skin appear more even. Recently, a new laser treatment emerged called Cellulaze which is supposed to be able to get rid of cellulite surgically. The results are impressive, but it’s expensive – around $5,000 – $7,000 dollars!
½ cup coffee grounds
¼ cup sugar
¼ cup olive oil
Mix ingredients together in large bowl.
Apply in a circular motion to targeted areas on the body (approx. 5 min)
Rinse off with warm water
Pat dry with a towel and moisturize
The caffeine and antioxidants in the coffee grounds stimulate and dilate your blood vessels, which tones and tightens the tissue. The sugar further helps exfoliate and the olive oil gives a big dose of hydration and plumping.
Now you finally have something to do with the grounds after you brew yourself a cup of fresh coffee!
If the process is a bit messy for you, you can try some full-body exfoliates to make the process a little more user friendly.
