Since I’m not one to watch the news much, I had to hear about this via Facebook. Just last month, I was sitting behind Tameka Raymond during a play, The Wiz, that both her son and my niece were starring in.

Sad news to report that Tameka Raymond, Usher’s ex-wife, son Kile Glover was involved in a jet ski accident over the weekend here in Atlanta at Lake Lanier.

According to reports, Kile and a 15-year-old girl were sitting in an inner tube towed by a speedboat on Lake Lanier when a 38-year old jet-skier collided into them.By the time the ambulance arrived to the scene, Kile was non-responsive and was immediately air lifted to the Children’s Healthcare at Egleston Hospital here in Atlanta where he has remained in critical condition.
 Tameka Raymond was out of town at the time of the accident, but was sent a charted jet by ex-husband Usher back to Atlanta so she could be by her son’s side. According to Sergent Mike, the detective on the scene, the jet skier was apart of Kile’s group and there wasn’t any alcohol in his system at the time of the tragic accident.

Our prayers go out to Kile and his parents Tameka and Ryan as well as the little girl involved in the accident. I can’t imagine what they’re going through right now.

Since the first reports, Kile has been declared brain dead by doctors, but the family hasn’t decided to take him off life support yet. No matter what they say, GOD has the final say so and we’re all pulling for him and praying he has a speedy recovery.
