Contrary to popular belief, Tamar Braxton isn’t the only diva in her house and she definitely knows her place. The “dot com” diva sat down with Ebony magazine and chatted it up with how Vince is the head of the household, her biological clock and why he talked her into doing a spin-off show.
As time gets closer for the “Tamar & Vince” show to air, the Herberts have been making their promo rounds and we’re definitely seeing a different side of them. On Braxton Family Values, it looks as if Tamar runs the show, but there are times when we see Vince put her in check and she brings it back down a few notches and plays her position.
“Everybody thinks that I run this house. I definitely don’t. He definitely does, and he is a divo,” she told Ebony magazine.
Tamar says that Vince isn’t as quiet and laid back as the scenes play out on BFV and he definitely the king of his castle. On their spin-off show, the couple will let us inside a different side of their life, their marriage and their struggle to conceive.
“We wanted to bring awareness to things that people were afraid to talk about. I just thought that it was very important for women to understand that when you hit 30 and 31— and people joke about a biological clock, but it is a real thing and it does tick.”
And, although we might think the spin-off was Tamar’s idea, it was really Vince that talked her into it because he wanted them to see a softer side of his Queen T.
“He felt that it was necessary for people to see the other side of me. People only see me being the loudmouth, bratty younger sister and he was like, ‘there’s so much more to you than that,’ and I feel people definitely need to see that.”
I can’t wait til the show airs because Lord knows I love all the Braxtons. “Tamar & Vince” premieres September 20 on WE tv. Will you be watching?
