I am a huge house fanatic. When I was house hunting a few years ago, I loved just walking into the model homes just to see how nice they were decorated even if I wasn’t interested in moving into that neighborhood. Even after I purchased my home I’d go house browsing with my sister from time to time because I love houses just that much. I’m an HGTV freak and I’ve always wished I was one of those people who could make a house look immaculate out of pretty much nothing.
Fall is a great time to change up your home a little bit, you know add some color or just decorate if you’re tired of the same ole, same ole in your house. House Beautiful has ten simple, inexpensive ways you can add color to your home. The first idea (pictured above) is to paint the floor.
Take a neutral room and spice it up with some bright colors.
I’ve always wondered why some white houses have red doors. It seemed kinda strange to me at first but I guess it makes sense. One thing about it, you’ll always remember a house with a bright door.
One thing I love about the new homes they’re building nowadays are the built-in bookshelves. When I get ready to purchase my next home it will definitely be something that I want as a feature in my living room. They can always be used to just put pictures and nice whatnots. I love the whole idea to paint them. A nice idea that’s really not too hard to do but will add so much pizzazz to your room.
Now this is actually an idea I’ve already used and I must say it’s a brilliant one. I’m one of those people who can never really find any pictures that fit my style or color scheme that I’m going for so I bought some wallpaper and put it in a frame. You can also use newspaper as well. Either black & white or colorful depending on your choice.
