**Mouth hits the floor** WOOOOOOOWWWW!!! One could only wish this could happen to them.
Kathy Scruggs, a 44 year old Lithonia, Georgia had no intention of even playing the Powerball lottery game when she walked into the Shell Food Mart right here in Decatur, Ga last month. The clerk misunderstood the ticket she wanted to buy and printed both the Mega Millions and Powerball ticket, Scruggs just purchased them both.
“But when she turned around, she had actually printed out a Powerball ticket also. So I actually bought (both),” Scruggs said Monday in a video recorded at Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta, where Scruggs had come to claim the prize.
Scruggs said she realized that she actually won the Powerball drawing a day after and woke up everybody in the house screaming.
“We were screaming and hollering, and everybody came running,” Scruggs said in a Georgia Lottery news release. “We couldn’t believe it.”
Lucky for her, she chose the cash option and will get a whopping $15,124,017 after Uncle Sam gets his cut.
I wonder how that clerk is feeling now that he was the reason behind this woman becoming a millionaire overnight due to his mistake.
Do you think she will ever go back to that gas station and thank him or even break him off a little some, some for her ticket mix-up.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm! If it were me, I’d go back and tell ole boy ‘preciate it after I came off my month vacay and I would definitely roll up in my black on black Range Rover looking like $25 million bucks. LOL!
Lord, if I could only be so blessed… ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! I would be somewhere on a tropical island right now!
