Over the years, I’ve gained a tremendous amount of weight. Now that I’m on my weight loss journey, I’ve been reading up on lots of ways to help me get this skin back tight and in shape.
I’ve seen cellulite on even some of the smallest women and thought since we have so much fatty tissue that it would be really hard for me to get rid of my own. Well I ran across a really great article with some tips on how to get your skin in cellulite free zone.
Drink Plenty Of Water & Eat Water Rich Foods:
I know most people I tell how much water I drink a day look at me like “girl, how you do that… I can’t STAND water,” but it’s actually really good for your body in so many ways. Not to mention there are some water rich foods as well that can help you rid your thighs (and arms in some cases if you’re severely overweight) of cellulite.
Studies have shown that chewing water is more effective than drinking it when it comes to being cellulite free. Since water is a “bloat buster” that flushes away salt, it is better to eat water rich foods because it is a more potent way to diminish the unwanted dimples. Some of the top water rich foods include: Watermelon, which is about 90% water. Like most aquafilled fruits, it offers vitamin A & C, and two essential antioxidants that help maintain skin’s thickness.
Enjoy watermelon off the rind, slice it into salads, or freeze it into chunks. One cup equals about 3/5 cup water. Aim for about 8 1/2 cups of water per day.
I know it’s much easier said than done and most of us hate to exercise too but cardio is one of the best ways to get rid of unwanted dimples. Doing lunges is your best weapon against cellulite in both your buttocks and your legs because it builds muscles in those areas.
Do three sets of 12 to 20 reps of lunges on each leg, three or four times a week. In as little as one month, you’ll see improvement.
I’m not a huge fan of caffeine but to my surprise it is actually a temporary cure for cellulite. Caffeine eliminates water in the connective tissue making cellulite dimples less noticeable. You can also use stimulant-laced creams as well to reduce the appearance.
No more smiling from the back. We’re all going to be well on our way to a dimple free behind and legs.
