I don’t know about y’all but I love the Braxtons. After their reality show begin to air, it gave me a reason to love them even more. While most people were showing so much love to Tamar for her famous “.com” lingo, Towanda has always been my favorite because she reminded me so much of myself, “The Responsible One” and definitely a natural born HustHer!!!

During the show, we learned that Towanda was ready to step out of  Toni’s shadow and finally be her own person. She started taking some acting classes and eventually had to put her life on hold again to help train Toni’s new assistant. Well apparently that struck an idea in her because she’s now started her very own concierge/lifestyle service called The Secret Squirrel to train personal assistants because like Towanda always say, not everyone can be a personal assistant.

“Being a personal assistant isn’t an easy job,” Towanda said. “Basically, you have to be the second brain to the client.”

The Secret Squirrel is a concierge/lifestyle company that provides “training, certification and placement for individuals who desire to work as professional personal assistants.”

Towanda is currently taking applications for the school, which can be dropped off at Nancy’s Pizzeria at 3167 Peachtree Rd. NE in Atlanta, starting next week. She’ll be accepting applications from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 31 and June 1. You can also apply on Saturday, June 2, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Prospective student should be prepared to pay a $50 application fee.

Candidates, who must be 21 or older, should also bring:
1) A valid birth certificate or driver’s licens
2) At least three references and a letter of recommendation

The dress code is business casual, and it’s advised that you dress for appropriately (no sneakers or tennis shoes), as potential students will be screened before doing a one-on-one interview. The screening will likely include a criminal background check.

Selected candidates will go through six to eight weeks of training before getting certified. Among the skills that Towanda will teach will be “how to multi-task, communicate and remain calm under pressure.”
