I’m gone put it down, you gone fall in love….

Despite the tragic events that occurred earlier this year with the loss of her friend and idol, Whitney Houston, on her birthday, looks like Brandy is ending the year with a bang.

After dating for a little over two years, B-Rocka’s boyfriend, music exec, Ryan Press popped the question.

According to USWeekly, an insider leaked the news that the two got engaged.

“They are thrilled and happy and Brandy feels this is so right.” 

Back in August, she told Sister2Sister that she had been hearing whispers about a ring but wasn’t sure.

“I keep hearing about a ring. People keep calling me, hinting to me about it, but I don’t know. I’m going to be patient and let it happen and just let it be. . . I guess it will happen when it’s the right time.”

She also chatted it up with Us Weekly regarding the possibility of an engagement and how Ryan came in her life at the right time because she had pretty much lost her faith in men.

“I had given up on love a long time ago. It just didn’t seem to work for me, so I was single for a very long time. I stopped looking for love and then I ran into my boyfriend. He just loves me for who I am. I don’t have to camouflage anything for him or put on a mask. I can completely be myself and he loves me so much and I love him just the way he is, too.”

Well hopefully it’s real this time. We all know how she pulled a slick one on us years ago with her ex/baby daddy Robert Smith and the whole marriage thing. If it is true, I’m seriously happy for Brandy. Nothing like finding true love.
