Last month, we shared with you that we went to the Bronner Brothers Hair Show in Atlanta.  While we were there we ran into tons of Atlanta’s celebrities like, Shekinah Anderson, Toya Wright, Porsha Stewart, just to name a few.  These celebrities are working smart and tapping into this trillion dollar beauty industry. Porsha and Toya have their hair extension lines, while celebrity stylist, Shekinah created a hair care product.

As a celebrity stylist, a person who works directly with clients that suffer to keep them edges tamed, Shekinah, decided to help develop a product that would work for you.  Her product was designed to be used on any hair types, to smooth out unruly edges without flaking.  At the show, as we made our rounds to view all the fabulous products that are out on the market we made a stop by Shekinah’s booth to pick up some Shekinah Jo Beautiful Edges.  To our surprise the product is price competitive to other branded edge gels on the market like Design Essentials.  We were able to try Shekinah’s edge product, here is what we had to say…

Product Review:

  • Works best on hair that doesn’t have a tight curl or coil
  • Doesn’t leave a buildup on the hair even after more than one application before you shampoo the hair
  • Non-sticky
  • Great smell
  • A little product goes a long way
  • For the cost, you get a lot of product for your money

  2. Aw, this was a seriously nice post. In thought I’d like to put in writing like this in addition – taking time and actual effort to create a very great article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and by no indicates seem to get something done.

  3. My shipping for Brooklyn NY is $16.95!! More than the product. Would like to try it but cannot afford $32.00 for one jar. Please put it in the beauty supply stores in NY
