No, I’m not a natural hair blogger, just a blogger with natural hair….
I ran across the picture of my hair (on the left) when I first did the big chop a couple years ago and I was just amazed at how far my hair has come. I decided to go natural after my last relaxer had fried my scalp and it was oozing with puss because my scalp had literally parted like the red sea.
When I first begin going natural, I was doing the whole transition thing that was until a trip to Florida where I washed my hair while I was there and my relaxed hair started to break off from the new growth. Upon returning home, I ended up having to get all my hair chopped off because it had pretty much broken completely off in the middle of my head. I had worn my hair short before so I really wasn’t afraid of wearing it short, but it definitely had to get used to it this way because before when it was short, it was at least spiked up and styled really cute.
Like many other natural chicks, I’ve tried a few products. When I first started, I used my regular products I had at home and they were okay while my hair was pinky nail short but when it started to grow is when I realized that stuff just wasn’t working. I tried Miss Jessie’s, Jane Carter, DPL and Shea Moisture, but none of them seemed to be doing nothing for my hair. They just didn’t leave my hair feeling soft like I was used to. I’m the type of chick like my hair soft as silk while I shampoo my hair and those other products just weren’t cutting it.
A few weeks ago, my sister told me to try Creme of Nature with Argan Oil and I’m completely in love. When I’m shampooing my hair, it feels like silk and their conditioner is amazing too. When I’m all done washing, detangling and conditioning my hair, my hair feels so soft and fluffy and I just love it. Great thing about the Creme of Nature products is it isn’t expensive either. I can get each bottle for about $5 or $6 no matter where I go.
Since it has grown a little, I have started straightening it more because I just don’t like fighting with those curls lol. Although my hair has started to touch my back again, I still have more to go. I can’t wait til my hair gets back to its normal length. So happy I went natural because my hair is so healthy right now and actually growing past the length it was while it was relaxed. My hair had always been back length but when I cut it, it would never seem to grow back past my neck so I would cut it again.
I snapped a few pics of my last wash which was yesterday to show you all the things I do with my hair. Check them out below:

Products I used:
Creme of Nature with Argan Oil from Morocco Sulfate-Free Moisture & Shine Shampoo ($6.49)
Creme of Naure with Argan Oil from Morocco Intensive Conditioning Treatment ($6.49)
Fantasia Frizz Buster Serum ($6.99)
Creme of Nature with Argan Oil from Morocco Oil Moisturizer ($6.49)
You can use any wide tooth comb, wig brush and clips for separation.
Washed my hair with Creme of Nature with Argan Oil from Morocco Sulfate-Free Moisture & Shine Shampoo.
Hair sectioned off, applied conditioner and detangled.
Amount of conditioner I applied on each section.
Removed clips so I can sit under the dryer for a deep condition.
I absolutely HATE sitting under the dryer, but I’m going in….
Deep condition done, time to rinse.
Conditioner rinsed out with cold water.
I blow dry and press my hair in sections.
Amount of Fantasia Frizz Buster Serum I apply for each section before blow drying.
Remainder of the products I used to press out my hair:
Annie Wig Brush ($2 or $3 I can’t remember)
Rattail comb ($1.49)
Creme of Nature with Argan Oil Perfect Edges ($4.99)
Red Ceramic 1″ Flat Iron ($24.99)
Red Ceramic Hot Styler Hair Dryer 1875 Pro ($55.00)
