Excuses are like as*holes, everybody has one right. I don’t want to mess up my hair or I can’t afford the gym or I just don’t have time… blah, blah, blah! I know, I’ve used them too and in the meantime have steadily been gaining weight to the point where I’m so out of shape and overweight it ain’t even funny or cute anymore.
Well here are some FREE tips to help you get fit:
Grab your best pair of sneakers and hit up your local park. Your tax dollars are paying for it anyway so you might as well walk, run, jog, play tennis, basketball or whatever you can do within your limits to try and get in shape.
Visit your local library and check out some fitness DVDs. You can get those for FREE and they have plenty of variety ranging from yoga to kickboxing to strength training to cardio. If you don’t want to borrow from the library, there are always free stations such as Exercise TV, Hulu stream fitness or if you have Comcast they have workout channels on demand as well.
Also, if you don’t have weights, you could use household products. I see lots of people carrying gallon jugs of water while walking. This might seem a little bizarre but you can use laundry detergent bottles or cans of soup. You could also try strength training exercises such as lunges and squats, which are good for the legs and building a firm booty..
If you live in an apartment complex, take advantage of their onsite gym and swimming pool.
This is the year of no excuses. Get in shape, healthy and fit. The summer is fast approaching… Will you be BEACH BODY READY???? I know I will, I’ve been on my get fit spree since last summer 🙂
