The Friday before the Bronner Bros show actually started, I had to be at the official bloggers luncheon at 4pm. Earlier that day, I had to be a hair model for my sister, Shan, so my hair was a mess, and for some reason, I had a PLATINUM BLONDE moment and thought the luncheon started at 6pm instead of 4 and I had NO IDEA what the hell I was gone do with my “natural hair.” Like I tell everybody, this hair is a FORCE to be RECKONED with and does whatever the hell it wants to do and in this ATL humidity, it goes from pressed to a fro in .000005 milliseconds. Ain’t nobody got time fo’ dat!!!
Before being a hair model for my sister, I had asked if she could braid my hair into a mowhawk real quick and add some kanekalon hair to the middle to make this cute, funky little style I spotted on Facebook. She agreed, but since I got the times mixed up, we weren’t gone have time for all of that. Of course I went into panic mode and started SPAZZING out because my hair was all over my damn head and there was NO WAY I was going to this blogger’s luncheon looking like I had just been in a fight nor was I going to miss it. I had been looking forward to it all week so I had to figure out something to do with this damn head.
While in a rush, I remembered this YouTube video I saw (below) of this chick that did this quick bun using kanekalon hair and it only took her about 10 minutes. So we rushed to this beauty supply store by the West End Mall and I got two packs of kanekalon hair and my sister had some of Shekinah Jo’s edge control and bobby pins in her purse and that’s how we got my hair together. Now, I am loving my hair like this because it pretty much lasted me a week and I didn’t have to touch it at all and furthermore, it’s cute.
