One of my favorite Arnold Schwarzenegger movies was the Terminator and now they are bringing back a new trilogy which will start with new movie Terminator Genisys coming Summer 2015. It seems so funny that when these movies first came out and they were talking about all this future dated stuff and the movies started off in the 80s so these years seemed so far off, but here we are now in year 2014 and it’s not too far away at all, especially how fast the years seem to go by.
According to the synopsis:
The year is 2029. John Connor (Jason Clarke), leader of the resistance continues the war against the machines. At the Los Angeles offensive, John’s fears of the unknown future begin to emerge when TECOM spies reveal a new plot by Skynet that will attack him from both fronts; past and future, and will ultimately change warfare forever.
On the verge of winning the war against Skynet, Connor sends his trusted lieutenant Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back through time to save his mother’s life and ensure his own existence. But what he finds on the other side is like nothing he ever expected. After being orphaned at age 9 by a Terminator, Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) has since been brought up by another Terminator, played by Schwarzenegger, programmed to protect her. This Terminator has then trained her to face her destiny, which she adamantly tries to reject.
By the looks for the trailer, Terminator Genisys is going to be seriously action packed which is exactly what I expected. Although Schwarzenegger has aged, that hasn’t stopped him from fighting and jumping out of helicopters in the movie. He’s also going to be faced with the younger version of him as the Terminator from the 80s.
Terminator Genisys will be in theaters on July 1, 2015 followed by the two sequels set for May 19, 2017 and June 29, 2018.
