Lady Gaga never seizes to amaze me. With all her funkiness and colors, she still sets the trend that no one can really compare to. I admire her most for daring to be different. Even though sometimes I don’t understand exactly what she’s going for, I guess that’s what the whole idea is for her to leave us guessing.
Gaga looks super gorge on the cover of Vogue Magazine’s September 2012 issue. In the issue, she chats it up about her fragrance, being different and her music.
On her fragrance:
“The fragrance is called Fame. It must be black. It must be enticing. You must want to lick and touch and feel it, but the look of it must terrify you.”
On being a risk taker:
“We were talking about putting the show together,” she recounts, “and I said, OK, what if I was someone’s grandma and I was going to a concert tonight. How would I know that it was a Gaga show? And we all just sort of looked at each other and said,‘The meat dress.’ ”
On her music:
“I don’t really make records for people to listen to and go, ‘Wow, she’s a genius,’ ” says Gaga. “I’d really like you to order a drink, maybe kiss the person you came with that evening, or rediscover something about your past that makes you feel even more brave.”
Lady Gaga’s issue is set to hit newsstands August 21st.
