And they say these shows aren’t scripted…
A couple days ago, I posted a picture of Kenya Moore on the cover of Hype Hair magazine on my fan page and one of my loyal readers asked me had I heard how Walter Jackson revealed that his “relationship with Kenya was fake and how she begged him to be her “boyfriend” on the reality show Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Since I’m not a gossip site, I hadn’t heard anything about it but just happened to run across it in my Sister2Sister newsletter so I read the story to see what it was all about and listened to the video attached. Walter had an interview with Frank Ski and Wanda from V103 where he gave specific details on their 3-month relationship from over 3 years ago. After hearing this, I’m still speechless.
On last week’s episode, I was feeling some-kinda-way about how she just kept pushing the issue of being married and was feeling like she was starting to look somewhat desperate. I know sometimes they can edit scenes to make things look a certain way on these shows for ratings, but it’s not the first time she’s dropped the marriage hint, and hell I wouldn’t even call it a hint because she just blatantly says it.
You know there’s always three sides to a story, his, hers and the truth. After hearing this, I don’t know what to think.
Honestly, it’s really not any of our business, but I just hate the fact that she looks so desperate in her quest to get married and have a baby because she allowed her career to pretty much take over her life and now she’s trying to squeeze in what’s really important to her now, a family.
I understand where Kenya’s coming from and that she feels like her clock is ticking but for her to go through such drastic measure is beyond me. I’ve always admired her for being such a beautiful, successful black woman, but I guess the reality of her being alone is really setting in.
Sometimes I feel the same way because at 31 I still don’t have any children and would one day love to have some as well, but I’m not going to beg a man to marry me just to do so. There are plenty other men out here that would love the opportunity to be with her and she should feel crazy to have to literally force a man to marry and impregnate her.
I once read somewhere that black women are trading in men for their careers and after seeing this whole Kenya and Walter situation it makes me wonder.
Yes, it’s necessary to have a successful career because it takes money to live and definitely takes it to raise a child, but at what point to you put your career aside and start a family or can you truly have both?
Anywho! I’m off my soap box. Listen below:
So, what do you all think about this whole Kenya & Walter situation? Should he have exposed her like that?
