I don’t know about y’all but I got too excited when I saw this ad floating around Facebook. Janelle Monae just really hit the scene and already she is doing BIG THINGS!!! Not only do I love her unique style, natural hair and pizazz, she has really great skin which makes her a perfect candidate to be a CoverGirl of color.

 Janelle tweeted the news yesterday afternoon along with a video (below) saying:

Every woman is a #COVERGIRL!

Although Janelle is known for her a more natural approach to makeup, she has already jumped into her new gig full speed ahead as she has been playing around with some of the line’s products, the Lash Blast and the Lip Perfection.

Janelle follows a few other COVERGIRL leading ladies of color including, Queen Latifah and Paula Patton. Last week, the cosmetic line revealed Pink’s new campaign with Paula Patton being the new face of the Queen collection.
