lauren lake, paternity courtFrom creative design to the courthouse, Judge Lauren Lake is a woman of many trades.

You may recognize her from the hit TV court series, Lauren Lake’s Paternity Court, which airs weekdays, as the judge who exudes passion, love, and grace in handling her paternity cases.  As a Detroit, Michigan native attorney and judge Lauren Lake is able to use her personal background and struggles in the courtroom that helps her delivery paternity results like none other.  Laurne’s goal is to help families mend together, help pick up the broken pieces in their lives that ultimately may help the fill empty voids that they’ve been longing to fill.

When Lauren was asked about one of her most memorable cases on Lauren Lake’s Paternity Court she thought back to a time in season two, where a little boy whose parents were on drugs and had poor living conditions. Although, Lauren was unable to continue to follow up with this family because of phone number changes, it was something about the case that just touched Lauren and she still thinks of the little boy today.  Lauren shared that she and her team don’t just end the cases in the courtroom they follow up with the families as well.

Although Lauren is currently known for her now, fourth season on Lauren Lake’s Paternity Court, Lauren has sung background for artist like Jay Z, she is involved in mentoring and outreach programs, as well as design in which she designed on HGTV’s Spice Up My Kitchen for two consecutive years.

It was interesting to find out how Lauren made her way into the design world even as big as having a show on HGTV.  Lauren said that she’s always loved design and many family members and friends would be amazed at her outfits and home decor soon she began doing work for friends and family. Eventually she said she was like I need to get paid for this and it went from there.

Lauren concluded with her plans to write a new book and launch a new website Lauren Lake Limitless to help inspire others to live life without limits.
