Summertime is a time when people often feel most self conscious about their weight as dressing for the warmer weather means wearing less and exposing the bits you aren’t happy with.  For some people summer is a time filled with dread, but with the right diet and exercise it shouldn’t be the case. The Dukan Diet is a perfect option for year round dieting as it fits in well with any lifestyle, promising effective and consistent weight loss to help you feel your best whatever the weather.

With the summer well and truly having arrived, people are spending more and more time outdoors and having fun in the sun.  The greatest benefit to the hot weather is the opportunity to partake in fun outdoor activities – but also be getting in some exercise at the same time, meaning your boring trip to the gym can be swapped for a fun afternoon at the park with family, for example.

You could swap the car commute for a cycling route, or even take the kids out for a long bike ride at the weekend to make the most of the sunshine. Getting out to a local park is another way to get your heart rate up, but while still having plenty of fun. Organise your friends and start a game of rounders or tennis, or simply take a Frisbee and football and get everyone involved. You’ll be having so much fun running round you’ll hardly notice you’re burning the calories – a much better alternative to chaining yourself to the treadmill!
