Girl Groups From The 90s We’d Love To See Make A Comeback

Since SWV has made a comeback, it got me to thinking about other girl groups that I missed from back in the day. You know the girl groups from the 90s that made all the songs that came to mind when you were mad with your man or those songs that made you remember why you were so in love with your boo.

Here’s our list of top 5 girl groups from the 90s we’d love to see make a comeback:

First up is Atlanta’s own Xscape. I just don’t know what happened to my girls except the fact that Kandi wanted to step out on her own. After she left, the group pretty much all just went their own way. For a while they tried adding Tiny’s friend Keisha, but nothing compares to the original. Songs like Just Kickin’ It, You’re My Little Secret and Feels So Good, just bring back so many memories.

I have yet to figure out just what happened to En Vogue. I’m thinking that maybe they just grew apart. Just the other day I was singing their song Don’t Let Go from the Set It Off soundtrack. Those girls were one back group. I don’t think one more album would hurt them either. Where are they anyway, they truly keep a low profile.

Brownstone owned the 90s with their hit songs like If You Love Me and Grapevyne. A few months ago, I saw one of the members in a stage play so at least she’s still working.

OMG! I remember when Total first came out. I use to love the way they said all their names… Kima, Keisha and Pam. I don’t know about the other two but Keisha snatched up Omar Epps had some babies and now she’s just happy being his wife.

I know Salt has found God and I’m so happy for that because there’s nothing like the love of the Lord. When Salt-N-Pepa had their reality show a few years ago, I was hoping Pep could convince her to do just one more album. I understand where Salt was coming from because with her new life it would be nearly impossible to put out songs like they did back in the day, especially since they were so sexual and all. It would be good for them to get back on the scene though.
