If you read the blog on the regular, you would know that I went natural going on four years ago and it was mainly because my hair was suffering from chemical damage.
A little over three years ago, I realized that my hair had stopped growing past my shoulders. Now I’ve always had back length hair and pretty healthy hair at that and couldn’t for the life of me figure out why after cutting it like twice and allowing it to grow back, that it would only get to my shoulder and stop.
SO… I decided to just stop using relaxers all together period because the last one I had set my scalp on fire and I was over it. When I first started going natural, it was very hard and then my hair suffered from major breakage forcing me to do the big chop.
Years later, my hair is back on my back, very healthy and I’m loving it. I can’t say that it isn’t still a struggle with this humidity in Georgia, but I don’t regret it most days.
A while back, I did a review on Creme of Nature Argan Oil products and were loving them, but never really understood exactly what the argan oil was doing for my hair even though I knew it was supposedly good for it. Well, here are some benefits of using argan oil on your hair.
- Tames and reduces frizz
- Repairs brittle hair
- Adds shine
- Helps prevent split ends
- Locks in moisture
