Without being a victim of a domestic dispute with her ex-husband Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, Evelyn Lozada wouldn’t be as passionate as she is about helping other woman who have been a victim of domestic violence. A few months ago, because of her on personal encounter with physical abuse, the Basketball Wife started her own foundation, Pain Is Not Love to provide support and bring awareness to others, like her fans who had experienced or are experiencing the abuse of their partner.
Domestic violence is not a joke. No one deserves to be abused by their mate, a family member, or a so called friend. Abuse is just a way to try to control someone and stems from insecurities of the abuser.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. During this month you can learn of so many support groups out their to help you if you are in an abusive situation. We are here to tell you there is help, there is hope, there is a way out. You don’t have to stay, you don’t have to be abused, PAIN IS NOT LOVE.
