Empowering Atlanta Event Hosted By Prince Carter
I had the pleasure of attending the Empowering Atlanta event hosted by Prince Carter. The event was held at Cupcake Mafia Bakery and Boutique owned by Mz. Skittlez.
I had a couple of events, that day, but only ended up attending this one due to me running late.
Honestly, I was feeling a little discouraged about some things going on in my life. My blog, upcoming business adventures and my weight struggles and was looking for some encouragement.
Once I got there, I got a chance to look around the Cupcake Mafia Store. I had always admired Mz. Skittlez via social media and it was nice to see her storefront up close and personal.
The Empowering Atlanta panel included Precious Harris (T.I.’s sister), Nikki Nicole (Kandi Koated Nights), Mz. Skittlez (Author and owner of Cupcake Mafia), Tiara (Love & Hip Hop Atlanta), LaTavia Roberson, Dice (from LaLa’s Full Court Life), Julian Lark (Kontrol Magazine), LaKenya Morris (Cutting It In The ATL) and Married To Medicine’s newcomer Geniese Shelton.
They kicked off the Empowering Atlanta event by first having a moment of silence for the Orlando victims and then went into the different topics of discussion.
The topics discussed ranged from parenting to social media influence to entrepreneurship success and struggles to their legacy. When I left Empowering Atlanta, I was completely a different person. I had a very different outlook on my life in general and it had me ready to take on the world.
Stay tuned for the rest of my blog posts on the different topics addressed during the Empowering Atlanta event.
