Y’all know women love shopping, but one thing I absolutely hate, no despise shopping for are bras.
See, I’m not your average size 38C kinda chick. My breasts have always been large even when I was sporting a smaller frame and when I gained weight so did they.
The largest bra size was when I was at my heaviest weight and I was wearing a 46H which is equivalent to 46DDDDD. Since shedding a few pounds, my bra size has decreased to a 44DDD, but bra shopping is still a pain.
When my bra size was larger, I couldn’t find bras anywhere. When you have breasts my size, you can’t just walk into Walmart and grab one of those cute little $5 or $10 bras. Noooooo, you have to go to expensive places like Intimacy, which is where I went and spent over $200 and only walked out with two bras.
When it comes to bras, not having the right size can make or break your entire look. It’s okay to show a little cleavage, but looking like you have four breasts or breasts on your back is not a good look.
Here’s how you properly measure your bra size.
First, you want to measure you breasts (without a bra) with a measuring tape across your nipple area so you can be sure you’re getting the correct cup size. Then take that same measuring tape and measure right below your breasts at the top of your waist to get the correct band size. Use the chart below to see what your actual bra size is and happy bra shopping.
